Okay boys and girls welcome to episode 100. That’s right we hit a big milestone of show 100. On this episode Mike, the comic dude, joins me to discuss a little something different. I decide to torture Mike and asked him to review ‘For Colored Girls’ and then tried to redeem myself by also asking him to review ‘Just Go With It’.
DV-Debrief
As I mentioned before I decided it would be different to review the DVD ‘For Colored Girls‘. Mike being the professional he is decided he would pacify me and watch it as well. This is a Tyler Perry joint, he wrote it, directed it and produced it. In this movie different women portray one of the characters represented in a collection poems. Each character reveals a different issue that women in general and women of color in particular deal with. Listen in and see how Mike and I disagree on performances given by Kimberly Elise, Janet Jackson, Loretta Devine, Thandie Newton, Anika Noni Rose, Kerry Washington, Tessa Thompson and Phylicia Rashad. But agree that Whoopi Goldberg makes the movie worth seeing.
Feature Flick
To lighten the mood a bit I thought it would be good for us to review a nice romantic comedy. So Mike and I went to the theater, not together mind you, to see ‘Just Go With It‘. This fun little film is about a guy who decides to pick up women by wearing a fake wedding ring. Each time he meets a new women he creates a new story, until he finds the one on girl he wants to be with. He then has to create a fake family and enlists his assistant to help out. In this movie you will find performances by Adam Sandler, Jennifer Aniston, Brooklyn Decker, Nick Swardson and Nicole Kidman. Listen in and find out what Mike and I think of this film. See if we disagree or not. Be sure to listen closely to find out about Mike’s feelings when it comes to Brooklyn Decker.

Mike and Q I enjoyed the reviews. I gave “Just Go With It” and gave it a 3.5 Dolphin Rides. Very bummed to have missed being there, filling in the vacant seat. And ya know, I was struck by how you both loved the movie. 3.75 rating. Wow. generous. lol
David,
You need to watch ‘For Colored Girls’ and tell us what you think. Interested in learning if you find it artfully done or not.
